Wiring DIY diagrams
Under this title, I will be linking several examples of Wiring Diagrams. They will be classified just depending on guitar type.
Take into account that, if not stated the contrary, all wiring designs will follow the wire color schema of Seymour Duncan. All pickups conductor wires are drawn in their original colors, except for white (represented here as light blue) and bare (ground) wire (represented in light grey).
Rest of wire colors are added for readability and better understanding.
Take also into account that some grounds are missing, like the bridge or shielded cavity grounds (if any). Remember to solder those missing grounds to your common grounding spot.
Notice that, if your components lay over a metallic folder (like the backside of Strato pickguards) or over a metallic plate (as in Telecasters) or over a shielded cavity wall (with metallic folders or conductive paint), their cases are already in contact thru such a surface so, you don't need to throw jumpers from component to component to maintain everything grounded together. But, if this is not the case, you should trhow a jumper from the case of component 1 to component 2 and from there, to component 3, etc.
You can always solder your bridge ground wire and or your shielded cavity ground wire to the case of one of the pots.

I found a diagram of yours on a guitar forum, it was a hsh autosplit with rotary switch.Have you ever tested that diagram?

DeleteTake into account that every rotary switch doesn't works the same!. They probably are the most inconsistent switches, related to the way the common (or pole) switches with their positions (or throws).
Hi , I used your service before and it worked well , thanks. I have a question though. Im trying to wire a strat w/ 1 vol , 1 tone and a 5way switch. I have tried and wired it 2 differnt way based on diagrams Ive found on the web (duncans ,phoestenex) when i tried both diagrams i keep getting 2 tone controls instead of a vol and tone. Any ide what might cause this? Its an oak grisby switch . Thanks
